The RWR system is an optimal solution for cleaning internal circulation systems without disassembly.
The RWR KST is specifically designed for cleaning complex cooling channels in plastic injection moulds. It improves cooling efficiency, reduces scrap rates and enables higher production performance.✔️ Suitable for cleaning cooling circuits of plastic injection moulds
✔️ Removes limescale and rust from internal circulation systems
✔️ Saves time → no need to dismantle the system
✔️ Compact, quiet and easy to operate
✔️ Fully closed system → no odours from cleaning agents or contaminated waterThe RWR KST pipe cleaning system is a highly specialized solution for cleaning cooling channels in plastic injection moulds. Over time, rust, limescale and other contaminants build up inside moulds. The type of contamination depends on the cooling medium used.
Previously, losses in cooling efficiency were tolerated until the system had to be dismantled for thorough cleaning and then reassembled. This process required significant labour and, in some cases, led to production downtime or even damage to the mould.
With the RWR KST, this time-consuming and inconvenient maintenance is no longer necessary. The system is simply connected to the mould via supply and return lines. It then circulates the cleaning solution through the mould, effectively cleaning it from the inside.
Technical specifications:
- ½" hose diameter
- Working volume: 60 litres
- Supply voltage: 400 V / 50 Hz
- Preset optimal temperature: 60 °C (adjustable from 30 °C to 90 °C)
The RWR KST is designed to meet the specific requirements of plastic injection moulding. A compressed air diaphragm pump enables highly effective pulse cleaning, especially in small cooling channels with very low flow rates. This is particularly beneficial for cleaning clogged cooling channels.
Digital flow meter
All systems are equipped with a digital flow meter. It measures the flow through the component and allows determination of whether the cleaning process is complete (flow remains constant) or still ongoing (flow is increasing).
Systems equipped with the “Dual” option include an additional separate circuit with a centrifugal pump, which enables precise flow control. This allows the same desired flow rate to be set for each mould.
Compressed air system
The integrated compressed air system blows the remaining cleaning fluid back into the tank after cleaning. This prevents residues of cleaning solution from remaining in the system.
Flow direction reversal
If a channel becomes completely blocked due to dissolved contaminants, reversing the flow direction ensures that loosened particles are flushed out of the mould in the opposite direction.
The flow direction can be changed manually by switching two ball valves or automatically. Systems with automatic function are marked “Automatic”. Automatic flow reversal takes place at predefined intervals.Integrated rinsing circuit for corrosion protection
To protect the tool from recurring corrosion, any remaining cleaning solution inside the tool should be neutralised. This can be achieved either by a rinsing cycle using two separate lines for flushing a corrosion protection agent or via an integrated rinsing cycle.
In systems with separate lines, switching is done manually by changing the hoses, while in systems with an integrated cycle it is done via a simple lever.
Systems marked “Dual” always include an integrated rinsing cycle.Cleaning fluid selection
Selecting the appropriate cleaning fluid is just as important as choosing the right equipment for the process.
For cleaning plastic injection moulds with RWR KST, the following cleaners are recommended:
- Power Cleaner KST – specially developed for the plastics industry
- Power Cleaner 150 – non-labelled alternative
