Bio-Circle team visits Alihankinta 2026: a focus on Finnish industrial growth and international expansion
-

Alihankinta 2026, one of Northern Europe’s leading manufacturing industry events, takes place in Tampere from September 29 to October 1. This year, Bio Circle Balticum team members Arūnas Skarupskas and Romualdas Mikštas are attending the event.
On this occasion, Bio-Circle is attending as a visitor. As Finland becomes an increasingly important export market for the company, the visit aims to gain a closer understanding of the local manufacturing sector, meet potential partners and businesses, and explore the changes and needs shaping Finnish industry today.
Growth and international expansion take centre stage this year
Alihankinta is Northern Europe’s largest industrial event, bringing together manufacturing companies, their suppliers, technology developers and other industry professionals in Tampere each year. According to the organisers, the event attracts more than 29,000 manufacturing industry professionals annually.
The theme of the 2026 exhibition is “Growth and Internationalization”. The programme explores how companies can find new markets, partners and business opportunities, and strengthen their competitiveness in a changing business environment. This theme also reflects current trends in Finland’s technology industry. According to the TechnoBaro survey published by Technology Industries of Finland in September, new orders, order books, production and employment strengthened over the summer and early autumn. The survey included 308 Finnish technology industry companies.
Companies’ investment plans are also strengthening. Compared with 2025, more respondents expect to increase investment in machinery and equipment, research and development, and digitalisation. The balance indicator for planned investment in digitalisation reached +39 in September (Technology Industries of Finland, 2026).As production grows, supporting processes become increasingly important
Production efficiency depends not only on the main production line or new equipment, but also on the many supporting processes between production stages, including maintenance, equipment preparation, and the cleaning of parts and components.
Industrial cleaning is one such process. Taking a systematic approach means looking beyond the choice of cleaning agent. Other factors include staff time spent on cleaning, process duration, water and energy consumption, the amount of cleaning chemicals used, and how quickly equipment or components can return to production.
This is why Bio-Circle’s approach to a new market begins with understanding how production processes are organised and where more efficient solutions could make a difference, before proposing a specific product.Getting to know the Finnish market first-hand
Finland is one of the export markets Bio Circle Balticum is actively developing. Attending events such as Alihankinta therefore offers value beyond making new contacts. It provides an opportunity to meet representatives from different manufacturing sectors in one place, observe technology trends, gain a better understanding of supplier requirements, and hear about the practical challenges Finnish industrial companies are currently addressing.
This is particularly relevant when entering a new market. Before proposing a solution, it is important to understand both who could benefit from it and which practical problem it could help solve.
Arūnas Skarupskas and Romualdas Mikštas are dedicating their visit to Tampere to precisely these goals: meetings, new business contacts, and a deeper understanding of Finland’s manufacturing sector.Sources:
